Krampouezh !

Here are some pictures of "krampouezh" a Breton speciality. Brittany is famous for these delicious pancakes, sweet ones and savoury ones ! We make and eat them all year round but especially on Friday nights accompanied by a "bannac'h chistr", a glass of cider (click on "regarder la vidéo"). The ingredients are simple but the difficult part is turning them on the hot, iron "bilig". There are special tools for this : the "rozell" and the "palken" made of wood.

These photographs were taken on Saturday night at a "fest-noz", a night-time feast. Parents from our school came with their "biligs" and helped to feed 150 grandparents, parents and children. Then we danced to Breton singing and music.
